Is it extreme to be a vegan? (Update)

The answer is no.. It's actually pretty normal!

So here comes the time of year where I seem to blog the most again.. Christmas! I'm back again with an update in my life and just to try and be a better blogger in general.

I left you last time with the question 'should I go vegan?'. So since then I decided to sit down and watch a documentary named Vegucated. I was so shocked about what I saw and how I was so oblivious to it all, that I turned fully vegan the next day! (It's on Netflix and I recommend it to anyone who's curious about taking on a plant based diet or curious in general).

I'm not here to preach, I'm just here to tell you how normal it is to eat a plant based diet! I've actually enjoyed food so much more since I decided to make the change and I was shocked to feel so much healthier both physically and mentally!

I seem to get two reactions when I have to explain to people my new life choice. The first is the people who think that there is nothing worse than veganism in the world. I get the usual eye roll and cheeky comment followed by 'don't you miss bacon?'. I can't judge these people because just over a year ago I was exactly the same. The other is from people who don't really know too much about it but are generally curious and interested in taking on a healthier lifestyle. I love speaking to people who are open minded on the subject, especially as it's a decision which is very good for me and makes me a lot happier.

Also the cake and brownies can be just as good..

I'm extremely excited for the upcoming months and I should hopefully be making a lot of new Christmas themed blog posts!

But should I become vegan?

So I've been thinking for a while..

Ive been asking myself this question for a long time now, should I become vegan? Ive been a vegetarian for just under 6 months, but it's not really a challenge for me, just a preference.

I've always been somebody who is health conscious and I've never been a huge meat lover. I first became vegetarian when I was 13 and stayed that way for 4 more years. My only reason to stop was because of peer pressure and the fact I was always the awkward person when I was round a friends for dinner and the parents had to cater for me. Now I'm 20 and that's no longer the case, I thought it was time to go back to my old ways.

I love being creative with food and stalking some vegan youtubers has made me so inspired. I obviously am also an animal lover but can't put myself through some of the documentaries which are meant to turn you vegan.

Maybe I should become vegan for a month and test the waters? Or maybe I will write about my journey on this blog?
