We visited the Colosseum which was incredible! It was also my first world wonder and it didn't let me down. To think of all of the amazing and horrific events which had happened in the past was just unbelievable.
Not only was Rome absolutely stunning but the people were all so welcoming (apart from the taxi driver who scammed us) and everybody was so friendly and funny. In my head I had thought there would be a huge language barrier but mainly everyone could speak English.
Our hotel was right near St Peters basilica so we were lucky enough to actually see the Pope perform mass. I am not religious but it was honestly incredible to see the event and all of the people that have travelled so far to be there. We also went to the Sistine chapel and the Vatican museum and we got to see Michelangelo's famous art. This was a last minute choice because we had to catch a plane and I wish we had longer to truly explore. But what we saw was insane and I wish I had done my research before I went to really appreciate it all.

I fell completely in love with Rome a few months back! It is such an incredible city. I love all the architecture, the friendly and laid-back people, the music and all the incredible pasta. Two of my favorite places were the Roman Forum and the Pantheon. And, of course, rome is nothing without the Coliseum. I just love that place!
